MY STORY

After about a decade in the veterinary field, I started doing what most would refer to as "gig work" to better accommodate my parenting responsibilities. I have experience with several services but the most notable have been pet care, light housekeeping, home organizing, errands, event planning, personal assisting, personal shopping, and delivery.

This work has given me the freedom to be present in my son's life while providing a personalized level of service I pride myself in. I then become a business coach for other entrepreneurs running small service-related businesses.

When I am not providing services in my community or empowering small business owners, I enjoy volunteering, taking time to explore the vast nature of the PNW, learning about Orcas, hanging out with my cats, and coffee (iced, of course).

All emails and requests to book are answered within 1 business day. If the time you are wanting is unavailable you will be offered alternate times to choose from. For best availability and service, consider booking ahead.

Some services are subject to a deposit. All services will have an estimate provided before service is rendered.

Mon - Fri: 2 - 6 pm

I typically accept same-day errand appointments during this time, but on a first come first serve basis.

Large Projects may be increased hours or completed over several days, and include weekend availability. These are booked in advance.

I am participating in Paws Walk for 2025 to support animal rescue in our area.

@paws_wa is a great asset to our community in both the wildlife rehab space and in small animal rescue.

I walked with our previous dog in former years but now it's set up where I can track all the time I walk with all of YOUR dogs (or, lets be real, the time I spend running down beaches to see whales will count too 😅).

You know when you're getting closer to your moving date and you hit that stage of overwhelm and panic? You're looking around and you're half packed and feel frozen?

That's when people usually call me in!

I can help with coordinating the remaining details, decluttering, packing and even unpacking if you'll be local on the other end.

You'll still want to utilize movers, potentially a junk removal team, and purchase supplies. But I can talk you through these details as well as wrap your items safely for transport.

Most often I offer this service to those downsizing into assisted living or other small accomodations but I'm happy to discuss your specific situation and see how I can be of help.

I can shop any store or multiple stores. I am able to shop off a list or give you suggestions based on who you are buying for. I can even wrap your items before drop off!

And yes, I can take your food pantry donations on my way home or wait in line at the post office too!

Many small businesses in our area are struggling. From now until New Years any errands from a locally owned small business will have a $15 discount applied to my service fee. There is a story highlight on my Instagram showcasing my favorites and I will be adding more throughout the month.

Did you know it is Nanny Appreciation week? Or that last week was dedicated to housekeepers?

Just like in the spring we recognize hard working office professionals, throughout the fall there are several days dedicated to celebrating those in domestic services. While some people do specific roles (such as childcare, adult caretaking, or household assisting), there are actually plenty of people (like myself) who have experience in several of these roles and often the duties overlap.

No matter what verbiage your role falls into I wanted to give a big shout-out to other people working behind the scenes to make the lives of those around them manageable. Service work can be hard but also so rewarding. I am inspired by so many of you!

I am also grateful to see more people recognizing that hiring help is a huge factor in personal success and quality of life. Throughout the years my roles in other people's homes have evolved but one thing I've noticed in recent times is that more people are comfortable saying they outsource tasks from organizing to grocery delivery to housekeeping. I now get to help people from several different backgrounds and I often see service workers being treated with a newfound respect that wasn't always the norm. I hope those trends are here to stay. We all need help from time to time and there is no shame in that!

The stores are quickly clearing out their remaining summer & back to school inventory and are starting to fill the shelves with all things Halloween (and even Christmas).

It seems silly to discuss this on Labor Day (or as those of us in LWSD know it - First Day of school eve!) but in recent years seasonal items have sold out much sooner than expected.

The Halloween multi pack snacks at Target and other retailers are PERFECT for school lunches and classroom donations at a fraction of the cost so even if you're not ready to think about spooky season it's worth checking out this section now.

And PS - How cute are these Halloween pillows in Bullseyes Playground at Target?! 😍 Remember that section is not available on the Circle app but I am able to include it any deliveries I do!

Over the last two months I have helped 6 families prepare to move 😱 and organized a few kitchens (which is why I have been quiet on here because honestly I am sleepy!). Pre moving service entails endless packing of boxes, wrapping fragile items, and most importantly donation runs. While majority of my donations end up at Value Village, I save whatever I can for the pet or food pantries.

The pantry at the church on 124th and 100th (formerly known as Nix's pantry but now being taken on by the church) is heavily utilized by the Kirkland community who is underserved by typical food banks. I just took an entire car load and filled it to the brim but most of these items will be gone by the end of the weekend if not sooner. Even with the church's and community's increasing support this pantry is often near empty as more people in our neighborhood become food insecure.

If you are moving, have the means to buy extra items, or just need your pantry organized please consider letting me know when I am coming to your home or bringing your groceries. I will happily take it with me when I go!

Some pantry guidelines to consider are avoiding produce or refrigerated/frozen items and to remember those on restrictive diets (vegetarian, diabetic, gluten free, low sodium) as well as household items that can not be purchased on EBT (toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, tampons, shampoo, pet food and litter). You want to send items that are not past their expiration dates and are sealed or at least individually wrapped (an exception would be like laundry pods split into ziplock bags).

Thank you to all of the families who have not only given me extra business in recent weeks but have given me the opportunity to care for our neighbors in this way. I wish you all the best with your new homes. 💗

The time for camp is finally here! 🏕 I am completely booked Monday & Tuesday and will be away from my phone Wednesday - Friday. I will return client messages once I return.

I do have some limited availability on 6/15, 6/16, and 6/17 remaining before a few more schedule limitations with elementary graduation events. 🎓

As I resume working during the day my availability is reverting to evenings and limited weekends.

I can still accommodate same-day errand services, however these will also be during the later time frame.

For more extensive needs, such as packing for a move, these appointments will need to be scheduled ahead of time.

Not to worry though - LWSD Spring Break starts tomorrow and I have opened up some *extra* full day and evening slots from now to April 14th! If you've got a big project in mind I suggest snagging one of these before they're gone. I will have a similar extended availability option during the summer break, but that doesn't come until late June.

Easter is almost here which means my annual Bunny Services are back! 🎉

This is one of my FAVORITE occasions to shop for as I love filling baskets to match the personality of the kiddo it is for - and coordinating sneaky drop offs to keep the surprise.

I charge an hourly shopping rate plus the cost of the basket and it's contents. I simply grab some info on what kind of items you'd want, hit the stores to find them, and once its approved by you I put it all together. Yes, this includes stuffing those plastic eggs! And yes - I can do a theme or choose more sustainable options!

The current Molbak's inventory as far as gifts and decor is down to about 2 tables, however they still have a decent selection of outdoor furniture and have started selling display shelves. If you're looking for old doors, shelving, or large holiday backdrops now is the time!

'Tis the season to plan who will feed your kitties and walk your dogs while you travel or in case you get stuck in inclement weather. 🐱 🐶 🌲

While I don't typically offer overnight care I am choosing to expand my pet visit availability for this season, particularly for those taking day and weekend trips.

There is a mysterious canine respiratory virus that has made its way to the PNW. While veterinarians don't yet know much about the illness, many are recommending avoiding social activities, like dog parks, and more importantly large kennels, for the time being. Puppies, elderly dogs, and those with short noses are typically more at risk of impact for viruses like this. If you've got upcoming travel and need a new plan for your dog you can send me a DM for more info!

The holidays are busy and as always I am happy to shop for your pet, transport them to grooming or veterinary care, or give them some extra attention. I have professional experience in the veterinary field and have been pet-sitting for almost two decades. I am able to administer medication (including insulin).

This was one of the funnest errands I have been hired for in a while. I am obsessed with libraries and loved having an excuse to explore so many of them!

As we head into the cold season the libraries are a perfect space to take the kids or find community. They're inclusive and FREE! They host all sorts of events including tutoring. We often visit our two small neighborhood branches but I am looking forward to showing my son the impressive teen sections at some of the larger branches over the winter.

Because there are so many new people on my page (welcome!) it feels like a good time to reintroduce the person behind the business. 💖

We often talk about parenting or community being a village but so many around us don't have a person they can call when they need a few hours of help, a task on their to-do list outsourced, or temporary help in their business or home. Many apps exist that offer hiring strangers for specific tasks but I enjoy working with the same people as they have new needs and filling in the gaps that those apps leave by offering an extended list of services. I feel it is important for customers to feel safe by knowing who they are working with beforehand, and having a true understanding of the cost ahead of time without sneaky fees (like inflated item pricing or annual membership fees - yuck!). Asking for help should make you feel good so you won't find any judgment from me if your home or life are not perfect (spoiler alert - nobody's is!).

Fred Meyer seems to be creating a section to rival Target's Bullseyes Playground with items under $10. And it's larger than most of the Target ones! 😲

The shelves were not full yet but so far it had everything from bluetooth speakers to office supplies to puzzes to toys to hairclips. My son and I laughed incredibly hard at the fishing cozies which seemed so out of place next to lunchbox silverware sets or other practical finds.

I'll continue to check 'Freddy's Finds' as I visit the store but if you'd ever like me to look for something in particular let me know!

📢 Organizing doesn't have to mean a massive decluttering or buying fancy things from the container store! 📢

While a more aesthetic or cleared out organization does work well for some people - it isn't the only possible outcome for hiring help!

Organization is all about how those who live or work in it use your space. It's also about storing your items in a way that serves you and them.

It's ok if you live in an apartment with limited storage, hold on to a lot of things, or have a small budget. You can still bring in someone to help you when a space feels unmanageable!

I too love the big fancy reveals on organizing shows or social media. But I wanted to show this recent apartment closet project I did because for this client she just needed more time in her day (Swipe right for the 'before').

As is the case with many apartments, this closet has to serve several purposes so with some tidying, zoning, and a little organizing it functions better for her actual use - even without looking like an episode of The Home Edit. She still uncovered a few things she decided to let go of and gets to feel refreshed in her space, with a system she feels comfortable managing.

The stores are getting all stocked with Halloween merch and we seem to be continuing with the pink, pastel, & cutesy options this year. Here are a few cute things I spotted at Home Goods yesterday! 💕 🎃

Dollar Tree is also ready for back to school season. They are really committed to the pastel options again this year but have a great selection of pencil boxes, notebooks, and pens.

Target's school section is fully stocked now. I know it seems early but in recent years these items sold out quickly.
Most school supply lists are available on district websites if you haven't received yours directly yet.

Their basic plain color options continue to be well priced but they also have several characters, prints, & pastel themes available.

Their dorm supplies are just now being stocked if you need a house restock but the pricing on those so far is incredible. $30 for this rolling drawer storage is unheard of!

AND their 'circle sale' (which rivals Prime Day) goes until 7/15 and has several 30% off kid's clothes deals too!

This summer's schedule is a bit different than previous years as I now have daytime availability for errand service and increased time slots available for large projects. 🎉

Let's talk about using the parking lot pickup at the store.

I use this for my own family sometimes and understand how valuable it can be but for certain situations it falls short. It's not always the time saver you'd expect. I've spent hours on calls with support, had to shop another store after, go inside the store for additional items, and in some cases have even had to give up getting a pickup order all together. And let's be real - I never include produce in these orders because that's a bit of a gamble! 😩

If you're working off a specific recipe, eat a lot of produce, or are trying to include a surprise for your kids store pickup might be more headache than it's worth. A personal shopper can make sure you get everything how you want it, even if it means more than one store, all without leaving your home.

Our spring break National Park adventure is almost here! 🎉

The last day to book a delivery order or service is April 7th with the last day of fulfillment being April 8th.

I am open extra hours on the 8th for those last minute Easter orders or house preparations but as always schedule slots are first come first served.

(If you're ordering for 🐰 baskets though I recommend fulfilling those this coming week as store inventory is diminishing)

I am open again on April 18th to return messages and will allow same day orders that day.

I'm sad Valentine's is over only because the themed drinks at @groundscoffeeco were so amazing this year. This cupid drink was basically a @lotusenergydrinks shirley temple from heaven. 💞 🍒

Do you collect starbucks cups or have your eye on a few?
I always get mine (or the ones my son has been asking for, which is what is pictured) in January at Safeway. Their cups tend to be less picked over than actual stand alone Starbucks locations and they always clearance in January. This typically includes most of the ones I've been eyeballing from fall to now. The three I got today were only $13.99-$16.99. I'm always happy to check their selection & pricing while I am at Safeway grabbing your groceries!
